Union Plus MasterCard® Review
Card Rating:

If you are someone with average or even a little less than average credit and you belong to one of the AFL-CIO unions, you may want to consider the Union Plus MasterCard. As long as you belong to one of these unions, you can qualify fairly easily for this card.
An interesting benefit of the card is called the "Strike Payment Protection", which allows the cardholder to skip payments for up to 3 months if the union is on strike or lockout. As long as the strike is sanctioned, the cardholder can take advantage of this benefit. Another good benefit that is unique to the card is the "Member Advocacy Program", a program that helps resolve disputes and concerns of any of the Union Privilege programs.
In addition to these unique benefits, there is a very reasonable interest rate offered, no annual fee and a reasonable introductory rate offered. This introductory rate can be applied to balance transfers as long as the balance is being paid as well. A few other good things that are offered with this card are the fact that there is no liability for unauthorized transactions, fraud and security protection services and travel accident insurance. In combination with all the other benefits, this card is a very good deal.
