If you are someone who travels frequently and has fairly good to great credit you should consider the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express. This is especially true for those who frequent Starwood Hotels and Resorts in their travels.

This card offers a reward program that can greatly benefit those who travel because of the points that can be earned using this card. One point is earned for every purchase, but three are earned for those purchases or charges related to Starwood Hotels and Resorts. These points than can be used or put towards hotel stays and airline tickets. In addition to these points you will earn 1,000 points for your first stay at a Starwood Hotel and 500 points for each additional stay (up to ten) in the first year. A bonus of 4,000 points is earned with the very first purchase as well and none of these points will expire as long as the account is kept active in any one-year period.

A unique reward for the Starwood Preferred Guest Card from American Express is that the points can be used for frequent flyer programs as well. If 20,000 points are transferred, 5,000 miles are rewarded to the cardholder. In addition to these rewards you can expect to have the $30 annual fee waived for the first year.
